If you have some minor relapse or spacing issues, Invisalign invisible braces could be an effective solution.
Invisalign "invisible" braces are an orthodontic solution which is a good alternative to traditional silver brackets and wires for minor tooth movement. It involves wearing "aligners" on your teeth in two week increments until the desired result is reached. Each aligner moves the teeth a small amount until it is time to move on to the next aligner.
For the treatment to work, the patient must diligently wear the aligners at least 23 hours a day, taking them out for eating and brushing & flossing only. Every two weeks, the patient should be ready to move on to the next aligner. These aligners are virtually invisible, do not interfere with speech and, since they are removable, promote oral hygiene and tooth cleanliness. The first few days after moving on to the next aligner may be a bit uncomfortable, but soon the aligners are comfortable and hardly noticeable to the wearer.
This system is simply an alternative orthodontic treatment method and is not meant to be a quick fix or "cheaper" alternative for the treatment of tooth alignment problems. In our office, we will treat only simple spacing issues and minor relapse problems. We happily refer more complex alignment issues, occlusion problems and major tooth movement cases to area orthodontists.
